Demographic Data Cooperative

The Demographic Data Cooperative is a collaboration of the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) and two leading demographic research centers: the Minnesota Population Center (MPC) and the University of Michigan Population Studies Center (PSC). Our goal is to increase the depth and breadth of demographic data available to researchers by pooling our archival holdings, taking advantage of complementary expertise at our centers, and exploiting new metadata standards and automatic data extraction software.

Other institutions that are participating in the Data Cooperative are the University of Wisconsin (CDE) and Pennsylvania State University (PRI). These centers have contributed data and software to the endeavor.
